The Workstyle Revolution Joins Parliamentary Launch on ‘FlexPlus’ Work and Disability Inclusion
Alex and Lizzie, Co-Founders of The Workstyle Revolution, have been invited to attend an important event at the Houses of Parliament on 25th March 2025. This event marks the launch of the new report ‘Can flexible working help disability inclusion? Overcoming barriers to Flex Plus working’, authored by Catherine Hale, Kim Hoque, and Ben Baumberg Geiger. The report delves into how flexible working practices can support disability employment outcomes in the evolving post-COVID landscape. Stay tuned for updates from Alex and Lizzie as they bring back key takeaways from this pivotal moment in the future of work!
The report highlights how ‘FlexPlus’ -a combination of flexible hours and remote working which is similar to the ‘workstyle’ approach we advocate at Worsktyle Revolution - can be a game-changer in ensuring that disabled employees and jobseekers are not only able to work but thrive in their roles.
The event will feature a presentation of key findings, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session. The discussion will explore current workplace policies and how organisations can implement effective FlexPlus working arrangements. The insights stem from an interdisciplinary research project at King’s College London in collaboration with the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE), drawing on input from 27 employer representatives and other key stakeholders.
As passionate advocates for personalised and inclusive work practices, Alex and Lizzie are eager to contribute to this vital conversation. Their mission with The Workstyle Revolution is to challenge outdated workplace norms and champion a future where work is designed to fit around life - not the other way around. Attending this event aligns perfectly with their vision to create a happier, more fulfilled society through a world of work without bias, allowing them to engage with policymakers, industry leaders, and fellow change-makers to push for tangible progress. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for The Workstyle Revolution to contribute to and help progress parliamentary recognition of progressive working practices and disability inclusion, ensuring these crucial issues remain at the forefront of workplace policy discussions.
For more information about the report, look out for our upcoming blog which discusses the details more specifically. The Workstyle Revolution team looks forward to sharing insights from the discussion and continuing their advocacy for a more inclusive and progressive working world!
